This course will highlight the changes from the current FBC Sixth Edition (2017) to the new FBC 7th Edition (2020).

Description

The course will start with the method of how the Code is developed from the new Base Code FBC 6th Edition process. Mention will be made of the new process for the Seventh Edition.

Objective

Provide an understanding of how the current, new and future Florida Building Codes are developed, review by Chapter Code requirements that have been added and removed, identify the locations of where the Codes are available for free review and purchase, and provide confidence in using the Florida Building and Residential Code Seventh Edition (2020).
