This course will highlight the information required by the Florida Building Code (FBC) 7th Edition (2020) to show compliance with the requirements for Means of Egress in Chapter 10.

NOTE: DVD ORDERS WILL BE SENT ON A FLASH DRIVE INSTEAD OF DVD

Description

The course will review the FBC requirements for Means of Egress and show, using the methods of National Fire Protection Association Standard 170, how to prepare a Code compliant Life Safety Plan.

Objective

Provide an understanding of the Symbols and Methods available in NFPA 170 to demonstrate a buildings Means of Egress, review the FBC requirements alongside methods and symbols to show location and fire restive ratings, understand how the Life Safety Plan can be an important part of all phases of building design and reviews with authorities having jurisdiction.
