Course Description: This course is intended to describe the types of buildings that can be constructed using the Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) system, the benefits of ICF construction (one of which is LEED credit) and engineering analysis approaches to the design of building structures for ICF. The specific LEED credits including Energy & Atmosphere and Materials & Resources are described. The course also covers different structural engineering design methods for ICF walls. Several examples of ICF residential, commercial and governmental buildings are shown and described.
